Every morning at eight, the same old man came into the café.

每天早上八點，同一位老先生都會走進咖啡店。

He always ordered one black coffee and sat by the window.

他總是點一杯黑咖啡，坐在窗邊。

Nina, the young barista, knew his order by heart.

年輕的咖啡師妮娜，早就記熟了他的點單。

But the old man rarely spoke, and never smiled.

但這位老先生很少說話，也從不微笑。

One rainy morning, he didn't come.

一個下雨的早晨，他沒有出現。

Nina felt strangely worried all day.

妮娜一整天都莫名地擔心。

The next day, he returned, looking pale and tired.

隔天，他回來了，臉色蒼白、看起來很疲憊。

"Are you okay?" Nina asked softly.

「你還好嗎？」妮娜輕聲問。

"I was in the hospital, but I missed my coffee," he said.

「我住院了，但我很想念我的咖啡，」他說。

Nina smiled and made his coffee a little stronger, the way he liked.

妮娜笑了，把他的咖啡調得濃一點，就是他喜歡的味道。

"It's on the house today," she said.

「今天這杯我請客，」她說。

For the first time, the old man smiled back.

老先生第一次對她回以微笑。

"You know, this is the only place that feels like home," he said.

「你知道嗎，這是唯一讓我覺得像家的地方，」他說。

From that day on, they always shared a few words.

從那天起，他們總會聊上幾句。

Sometimes, a cup of coffee is really about not being alone.

有時候，一杯咖啡真正的意義，是「不孤單」。
