On a rainy afternoon, Sam and his sister found an old box in the attic.

一個下雨的午後，山姆和姊姊在閣樓找到一個舊箱子。

Inside was a yellow map with a red X on it.

裡面是一張泛黃的地圖，上面有個紅色的叉。

"It's a treasure map!" Sam shouted.

「這是藏寶圖！」山姆大喊。

The map showed their own backyard.

地圖畫的正是他們家的後院。

They put on their boots and ran outside.

他們穿上雨鞋，跑到外面。

"Ten steps from the big tree," Sam read.

「從大樹走十步，」山姆唸著。

They counted the steps together.

他們一起數著步伐。

Then they started to dig near an old rock.

接著他們在一塊舊石頭旁開始挖。

Their hands got dirty, but they didn't stop.

他們的手弄髒了，但沒有停下來。

Soon, the shovel hit something hard.

沒多久，鏟子碰到了硬硬的東西。

It was a small metal box.

那是一個小小的金屬盒子。

Inside, they found old coins and a short note.

裡面有一些舊硬幣和一張短短的紙條。

"To whoever finds this: be kind and brave. — Grandpa, 1975"

「給找到這個的人：要善良、要勇敢。——爺爺，1975」

Sam smiled. His grandpa had left them a real adventure.

山姆笑了。爺爺替他們留下了一場真正的冒險。

It was the best rainy day they could remember.
