When Leo was ten, he was afraid of almost everything.

里歐十歲的時候，幾乎對什麼都感到害怕。

He was too shy to speak in class or make friends.

他太害羞了，不敢在課堂上發言，也交不到朋友。

One day, his mother took him to a piano teacher named Mrs. Green.

有一天，媽媽帶他去找一位叫葛林太太的鋼琴老師。

"I can't do this," Leo whispered, staring at the keys.

「我做不到，」里歐盯著琴鍵小聲說。

"You don't have to be perfect. Just try," Mrs. Green said gently.

「你不需要很完美，試試看就好，」葛林太太溫柔地說。

At first, Leo played only wrong notes.

一開始，里歐彈的全是錯的音。

But Mrs. Green never laughed at him.

但葛林太太從來不曾笑他。

"Mistakes are how we learn," she always said.

「錯誤正是我們學習的方式，」她總是這麼說。

Week after week, Leo practiced.

一週又一週，里歐不斷練習。

Slowly, the wrong notes became a real song.

慢慢地，那些錯音變成了一首真正的曲子。

One year later, the school held a small concert.

一年後，學校舉辦了一場小小的演奏會。

Leo's hands were shaking as he sat down.

里歐坐下來時，雙手一直在發抖。

Then he remembered Mrs. Green's words and began to play.

接著他想起葛林太太的話，開始彈奏。

When he finished, the whole room clapped.

當他彈完，全場都鼓起掌來。

For the first time, Leo felt proud of himself.

里歐第一次為自己感到驕傲。

He learned that courage grows a little every time we try.

他明白了：每一次嘗試，勇氣就會多長一點。
